| フィスプから観光バスの列の後を金魚の糞状態でマッター谷の奥深くに上っていきます。右側に1981年のランダの崖崩れが見え、観光バスにはシンドイ最後の胸突き八丁を上りきると、ようやく谷が開け、雄大なブライトホルンが姿を現します。 ランダは私に本当にスイスに来たといった気持ちにさせてくれる場所です。初めてスイスを訪問した2000年、青空に映える白い白い氷河を纏ったアルプスを初めて見た、ここでの感動が今でも忘れられません。（Photo Galleryの写真がその時のものです。）ランダ村はこの谷のどん詰まりにある、観光客で溢れんばかりのツェルマットと違って、実に静かな場所です。マッターホルンは右手の山に隠れてぎりぎり見えませんが、もしも、マッターホルンがもう少し左に位置していたら、このようにはいかなかったでしょう。そういった意味で、マッターが見えない村の方がよかったのかもしれません。もしもツェルマットに行かれる方で、部屋の窓からマッターは見えなくともスイスの山村らしい場所に宿泊したい方は、ツェルマットの２つ手前の駅、ランダで途中下車してみてくださいね。 |
