グロスター大聖堂のファン・ボールト型回廊です。映画ハリーポッターのホグワーツ校の廊下のシーンで撮影に使われています。この大聖堂に併設してキングズ・スクールという学校があるのですが、たくさんの生徒さんたちがぞろぞろとこの回廊の向こうからやってきました。ちょうどハリーと同じくらいの背丈の生徒さんたちが、制服を着て回廊を歩く姿はまさに映画のあのシーンそっくり。実際彼らはエキストラとして賢者の石にも登場していて今月公開の映画にももちろん登場します。そして内陣の方には恐らくここの生徒さん達が描いたと思われる宗教画が飾ってあって（お星さんキラキラの少女漫画の目だったから）実にアットホームな大聖堂で大変気に入りました。日本のお寺にある幼稚園のような関係にどことなく似ているかななんて思いました。 |
